ABOUT ACPL
Athena Chhattisgarh Power Limited (ACPL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for developing and implementing a domestic coal based Thermal Power Project in Janjgir-Champa District in the State of Chhattisgarh.
The plant is planned to be developed in one stage with a total generation capacity of about 1200 MW. The project configuration will be two units of about 600 MW each. The first unit of the plant is expected to be commissioned in a period of 39 months from financial closure and the second is expected to be commissioned in 42 months from financial closure.
ACPL has signed an Implementation Agreement with Government of Chhattisgarh (GoC) for the development of the project. Coal linkage for part of the project capacity has been granted. The project has also been accorded environmental clearance by Ministry of Environment and Forest.
